Today, I fitted 1.5 degree negative camber bottom arms and new polyflex bushes. Along the way I found:
Seized bottom arms to the shafts on both sides, needed new bottom arm shafts. Ball joint on one side was coming LOOSE! The numpty who did the work last time did not knock over the tab washer enough. I replace with new. Wheel stud thread stripped, removed drive flange and fitted new stud. Tie bar bushes perished, replaced. Anyway, it has all been fixed and replaced, and looks very nice too!
Heat may work, aluminium expands quicker than steel, you may be able to 'tap' it free, better to sacrifice the thermostat cover rather than having to re-work the head to replace a broken stud.
One for the album, 2 brake master cylinders much work needed here
Just removed the oil cooler from Puddy, and made up a grille "muffler", because she is not getting up to temperature, despite having a new winter stat fitted. Fixed the rev counter, easy job, the wire had come off the back. Now on to check what Nikita was talking about description "wobbly on the motorway". I think it might be because the front suspension has all been rebuilt. Then I'll refit her chrome arches...it never ends!
