Piston sizes/markings

Postby The Wing Commander » Mon Mar 08, 2010 1:39 pm

Can anyone direct me to a web site that lists piston markings and sizes for A plus engines? My old MG Metro lump is going to be reconditioned on a budget, so I am going to look for some second hand pistons next size up, but not sure what size it currently is. Written on the top of the piston is 20832 L19 A

Normally if there is not a + and a number on the piston crown, they are standard size.

May have a set of pistons on rods in the shed, without looking I have not a clue what size, if interested will have a look Thursday, I'm in London tomorrow.

Have found set of used +20 pistons on rods, look in good condition, 1 has a nick on the crown edge, probably through storage, would reccomend new set of rings, old worn bearings need replacing.

Also found complete set of standard pistons.

Hi there, I have standard pistons already, but would be interested in your plus twentys. How much do you want for them? Is the nick bad, or is the piston reuseable?
