Add Paypal Buy-it-now buttons?

Postby Daze » Tue Jun 12, 2007 11:29 pm

If you have a Paypal account and want to accept money through it for any stuff you are selling, you can use Paypal's buy-it-now buttons.

- First, login to your account at www.paypal.com

- Click on Merchant Tools at the top

- Scan the page and find the Buy Now Buttons link (on the right in the "Key features" box at time of wiring)

- In the step 1 box, click on the link titled "Buy Now Buttons"

- In the Item name/service box, type in the title of your product (eg, "standard 998 unleaded head)

- In the price of item box, enter the amount.

- At the bottom of the page, click NO to the encryption. Then click Create Button

- Use the link code in the box where it says Link For Emails and paste that into your new post on here. Wrap it using the URL button to make it look neat.

You're done.

Of course there is a chance two people might pay, in which case you will have to refund one of them. :)

Trouble with paying through paypal is the stamp you have to pay on using them,

And then, like you say, if two people pay for something, and maybe it is of a considerable amount of money, you have to pay the stamp on the money recieved, and give the money back to the second person who paid, paying them again.

Sounds good, but I personally wouldnt use it.

Jamie.

Look at the date on the original post. TBH I think we can dump the posting altogether.
